Summary: This Position works with Regulatory Agencies (EPA, MTDEQ, Tribal and local Authorities), the Environmental Compliance Technician, and contracted Environmental Consulting firms to ensure that Town Pump reports Unusual Operating Conditions i.e. Alarms, Spills to the proper authorities in a timely manner to maintain Compliance and Eligibility for Petro Fund.



  1. Review draft reports and work plans before they are sent to the state Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
  2. Notify the DEQ of any unusual operating conditions or releases as required by statute and/or rule.
  3. Complete all reporting documents for the DEQ, i.e., 30 day Release report.
  4. Conduct environmental assessments on potential property purchases.
  5. Report UST release status to Town Pump insurance carrier quarterly.
  6. Attend Petro Fund, DEQ consultant meetings.
  7. Maintain all Town Pump historic and current release files.
  8. Investigate and trouble shoot possible leaks in a UST system.
  9. Coordinate the environmental consultants.



  1. Other duties as assigned by management
  2. Provide support to the Facilities Fuel System Services Team and Environmental Remediation Technician
